Did you know that our "make-to-waste economy" consumes 100 billion tonnes of resources, where 90% ends up as waste? And that one-third of that waste is generated by the construction and real estate industries? We are on a mission to change this by making reuse the first choice.
Palats is a leading digital platform for circular material management, serving over 100 customers in Sweden. We have grown 3X in annual recurring revenue since we started Palats in 2021, and our goal is to keep that momentum going forward.
We are now looking for a Head of Sales who will take the lead in our sales team and become part of our growth journey in Sweden and beyond.

We are looking for someone with strong sales and business development skills who can actively drive sales while building processes for selling our SaaS solution. Palats' primary target groups are property owners and the public sector in Sweden, and we are actively developing strategies for international expansion.
You will take ownership of our sales team and processes from our CEO, who currently spends much of his time on customer outreach. We plan to raise our Series A in Q2 2025. Ideally, you will take on full sales responsibilities before then.
Initially, the role will focus heavily on hands-on sales work. Over time, your focus will naturally shift toward strategically expanding our sales team with top talent.

During your first six months with us, we expect you to:
- Quickly become an expert on our product and sales processes.
- Spend the majority of your time actively working within the sales process.
- Evaluate and refine our sales methodology.
- Establish KPIs and goals for the sales organisation to ensure effective tracking and results.
Ongoing responsibilities of the role:
- Lead the sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and building a supportive environment.
- Take ownership of the sales budget and report on financial results.
- Identify recruitment needs and development opportunities within the team.
- Ensure a data-driven approach and continuous analysis of sales results.
- Expand sales beyond Sweden.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies that generate high-quality leads and support scalability.
- Partner with Customer Success to optimise strategies that enhance the customer experience.

Palats is a team of 15 people with a strong commitment to solving real customer problems and delivering true value that drives change. The team primarily operates from our office in central Gothenburg, and we're looking for someone who enjoys working with us on-site. We'd be thrilled if you also want to join us for some after-work events, Thursday workouts, and the occasional work-cation!
Alongside our CEO, who will continue part-time sales within your team, we have two full-time salespeople. Our sales team is responsible for acquiring new customers and handing over closed deals to our Customer Success team, making them some of your closest colleagues. We aim to build a commercially focused Customer Success team to manage all existing accounts and drive their growth. Your team’s focus will be on new customer acquisition in close collaboration with Customer Success and our Marketing team.

We're looking for SaaS experience and startup grit
To help us operate and develop Palats' sales toward scalable processes in an international context, we believe you have been on a similar journey before…
Ideally, you have prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment, where you have developed successful sales processes and achieved outstanding results in SaaS sales. You understand what it takes for a small team to achieve ambitious goals and bring us closer to true product-market fit.
In addition to this, we highly value work experience in building and leading an outbound sales organisation.

- Previous success in a similar role: A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong teams.
- Proven ability to build and scale sales in a SaaS company.
- Skilled in building and leading an outbound sales organisation.
- Experience in recruiting, training, and guiding top-performing sales reps.
- Background in growth companies or startup environments.
Additional experiences that would complement our current sales team include:
- Experience with SaaS sales targeting the public sector.
- Experience scaling sales internationally, ideally being involved from the start of the process.
- Experience in enterprise sales.
